Kidd Denies Trade Request

In talking with beat reporters before the Minnesota game, Jason Kidd said
his agent had not asked the Nets for a trade to a contender. “Not to my
knowledge,” said Kidd when asked if Jeff Schwartz had asked the Nets to
trade him. Kidd added that he had not spoken with Schwartz recently.
"Yeah, I want to be here,” he said. Rod Thorn woud reportedly rather deal
Vince Carter, but Carter’s new contract is not exactly appealing to other
teams.
