Kittles, traded after the 2003-04 season to the Clippers, has remained friendly with coach Lawrence Frank and plays golf with Kidd. He hasn't really considered coaching as a profession, but this is a chance to get a taste and learn if there is an appeal as a coach, scout or consultant.
