Fu-Te Ni is scheduled to leave the Tigers on Thursday to join the Chinese
Taipei team in preparation for the World Baseball Classic. That means he'll
be around for Wednesday's Spring Training opener, but Leyland said he needs
to check before deciding whether to pitch Ni against the Braves.
