The new Taiwan passport,which bears the word "Taiwan" on its covwer, will not affect private exchanges between Hong Kong and Taiwan,Huang Chieh--cheng, vice chairman of the 2)Mainland Affairs Council, said yesterday.He added that the word Taiwan on the cover is o prevent foreign immigration officials from confusing the country with the 3)PRC.
