Last time I wrote to you all was after my Wimbledon win earlier this summer. I know it was a couple of days after but I made it … so here I am again, excited and happy to write this blog. It kind of brings me good luck, but the most important thing is that it allows me to communicate directly with all of you and tell you what I think, what I feel. 我又再一次来写这个部落格，这次是从纽约。上一次我写给你们大家是在我早前夏天时 赢得温网过後。我知道是温网後几天，但我完成了...所以我又来了，带着兴奋跟开心的 来写这个部落格。它带给我一些好运，但最重要的是它让我能直接跟你们沟通，并且告诉 你们我的想法跟感觉。 Let me start by saying that I got here to NY 10 days ago. I came straight from Cincinnati after I lost in the quarter finals against Baghdatis. Since then I have been practicing as much as I could here in NY. I say that since it rained a lot the week previous to the event. It might sound strange from some one like me, from Mallorca, used to the sun, but it really is. These last three days have been horrible and I have to say that to play during the day it must have been tough. I practiced today and warm up yesterday when the sun was out and wow, it was hot. 纽约的天气真的很热。从像我这样来自马洛卡的人听到这种话也许有点怪，在马洛卡习惯 了阳光，但天气真的很热。过去三天的天气实在很恐怖，而且我必须说，这几天在这天气 下比赛实在很辛苦。我今天的练习跟昨天的热身都是在大太阳下，哇，好热。 I played yesterday at night so that’s not that bad. Tomorrow, Friday I am also playing at night apparently so that’s better for the heat although it is announced that we might have a hurricane coming!!! Hopefully not. I remember a couple of years ago and it was a mess with scheduling. Anyway, I am practicing early at 10.45 so I suppose it is not as bad as at 3 or 4 pm! You might wonder at what time I leave the hotel? Well with the NY traffic you'd better be careful. We play this game called 11, and that is a tie-break to 11 but with no serve. You just put the ball in play. Here we are on the second week of the US Open. This is very important. The second week of the grand slam is that kind of strange good feeling. The players’ lounge is not anymore packed and the locker room is also very quite. As I say strange feeling but good since you are at those stages where the final weekend gets closer. 显然写这个部落格带给我好运。我们已经进入美网第二周。这是非常重要的。在大满贯的 第二周有一种奇怪的好感觉。球员休息室不再是挤满人，而更衣室也非常安静。我说奇怪 却感觉是好的，因为最终周末舞台越来越近了。 Today I am hitting at noon and then take it very easy until tomorrow. It was a surprise since he is one of the favourites to win here. I didn’t see much of the match, only the end of it in the locker room. I am sure that he will win sooner than later a slam. Actually before I order room service since I don’t think I am going out for lunch today. I did yesterday, after I practised and came back to the city. This way I have plenty of time to get there, get ready, warm up at 5.15 and then stay in the locker room waiting for the match. This would be a normal routine day that I play. It was a very late night yesterday. We got back to the hotel at almost 3am. You know after the match that started so late it takes time to do all the work post match. I remember I’ve played matches that ended later than yesterday but not too many. The crowds have to leave since they have to work the day after, people to to sleep and they also don’t watch on TV. It is a no winner situation. Verdasco is playing at a great level here and it is always difficult to play another fellow countryman and a friend. He went through those tough moments at a tournament and managed to stay alive. We all go or have to go through those moments and the key is to manage to win even when things are more difficult. You can’t always play at your best and the rival, if he plays well can always beat you. I finally made it to the final of the US Open. Something I was really looking forward to. I am a bit speechless right now. Just looking forward for the match today. 终於等到这天。我终於成功打进美网决赛。我真的期待的事情。我现在有点说不出话来。 就是期望今天的这场比赛。 I saw yesterday most of the match between Roger and Novak and they played at a very high level. 我昨天看了大部分Roger跟Novak的比赛，他们打出了高水准。 I am leaving shortly to the stadium where I am hitting at 10.30am. Quick warm-up and we hope it doesn't rain today. The truth is that I should have sent it through yesterday but as I landed in Madrid I thought about writing it at my hotel room. But I was really tired. I couldn't sleep much in the airplane during the flight and as I landed I had a press conference and went straight to the hotel to bed ... Sorry about that.
