Saturday, September 06, 2008 Calm before the storm 暴风雨前的宁静 Hi everyone, Well, one less day or one more day... The thing is that tomorrow the semifinals are here. Or at least that's what we expect. The fact is that the weather forecasts are pretty grey and on this they are like at Wimbledon: they don't make mistakes. That is the reason why we have been scheduled to play not before noon. We might even change the court where we are scheduled to play and we have been told that we have to be ready by then. We could end up playing on the other show court instead of the centre court. This is not usual but they are ready to do it in case it really rains hard so that the semis are both played and the final could be played on Sunday. I really don't mind although I have only played on centre court and I really don't know if that other court is different. But the conditions are the same for both so nothing to complaint about, right? 嗯，少於一天或是多於一天...明天就是准决赛了，至少我们期待是明天。事实上，天气 预报说天空很灰，就像温布顿一样；他们不太会预报错误的。这就是为什麽我们的比赛 表定於中午以後。我们甚至必须换球场，并且被告知必须在中午就准备就绪。我们可能 得在其他球场完成比赛，而不是中央球场。这跟平常不太一样，但他们打算这麽做， 免得因为雨停而不能比赛，这样才能把两场四强都打完，然後周日举行决赛。我不会介意 这个，但我只在中央球场打过球，我不太知道其他球场有没有不一样。但这状况是同时发 生在两个人身上，所以没什麽好抱怨的，对吧? I know most of you are wanting to know my thoughts about Andy. I have said it many times and I think he is a great player. He has been improving a lot lately and I already said last year he would make it to the Masters at the end of the year. He didn't because of the injury he suffered, but this year he will be there for sure since he's stayed healthy and played great tennis. He won Cincy and showed all he can and knows how to win. The match in Toronto against him was really difficult and close and it could have gone either way. 我知道你们大多数人都想知道我对Andy的看法。我已经说过很多次，我觉得他是一位很棒 的选手。他最近进步很多，我去年就说过他会在年末打进大师盃，他没有做到是因为伤痛 ，但今年他一定会进，因为他仍然保持健康并且打得很棒。他赢了辛辛那提并且向大家展 示他可以赢、也知道怎麽赢。在多伦多跟他对上的那一场比赛很艰难也很接近，甚至可能 会输。 You know me and I will try hard and give it all to win but even if I lose I think that this tournament has been great and reaching for the first time the semis here is good. I always say that to reach the semis and be one of those last four is always a good result. Better to win, obviously. 你们知道我会尽全力去赢得比赛，但如果我输了，我仍然会觉得这是一个很棒的赛事， 而且我在这第一次打进四强。我常说，打进四强成为最後的四个人之一就是个不错的结果 了。但赢了会更好。 Today I write this blog quite early since I went early to dinner (to my favorite Japanese restaurant in NYC) and now I am going to get my physiotherapy session before I go to bed. We have an early departure at 8am since we need to be ready by 12. You know, with the taping, warm up, shower, more taping and the things before the match we need to be there early. let's see what happens. I hope I can be here again writing a pre-final blog...
