(1) @JackCurryYES: Mark Leiter, Jr., who has been dealing with a minor back
issue, threw an 18-pitch live BP session today. “If the season started
tomorrow, I’d be ready,” he said. Leiter last pitched in a spring game on
March 6 when he threw a scoreless inning.
(2) @JackCurryYES: With Boone admitting Schmidt won’t be built up to 75-80
pitches for the beginning of season and Yanks likely to be cautious, that could
open the door for Carrasco and Warren to start in the rotation.
(3) @BryanHoch: Clarke Schmidt (shoulder) may not be ready to make the April 3
start vs. Arizona. "It just depends on if we want to keep building him up for
another start or two," Aaron Boone said.
(4) @BryanHoch: Paul Goldschmidt (back) received treatment today. Aaron Boone
said he expects Goldschmidt to return to the lineup Thursday or Friday.
(5) @BryanHoch: Oswald Peraza came out of today's game because he had a 3pm
appointment with an eye doctor, Aaron Boone said.
