According to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, the Yankees have signed reliever
Sergio Santos to a minor league deal. The Yankees will send Santos to
Double-A Trenton where he’ll tryout for the team with hopes of eventually
joining the Yankees bullpen.
In 12 games with the Los Angeles Dodgers this season, Santos had a 4.73 ERA
and a 1.500 WHIP. However, Santos does have experience pitching in the
American League East; he was with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2014 where he
pitched to a 8.57 ERA in 26 games.
