Logan inks $3.15 million deal, avoids arbitration

NEW YORK -- Boone Logan and the Yankees agreed to a one-year, non-guaranteed
contract on Friday, thus avoiding salary arbitration.
Logan received a $3.15 million deal after leading the American League with 80
appearances last season. The left-hander was a key piece in New York's
bullpen, going 7-2 with a 3.74 ERA and one save. He earned $1.875 million in
2012.
The 28-year-old Logan has a career ERA of 4.56 over 359 career appearances
with the White Sox, Braves and Yankees dating back to 2006.
Pitcher David Robertson is the Yankees' only remaining arbitration-eligible
player. The Yankees have not had a case reach arbitration since 2008.
