I can't see the Steinbrenners sticking with Girardi in this first season in the new stadium with such mediocre results. Don Mattingly would be a better fit for this club and they really need to rehire Guidry as pitching coach because Dave Eiland is horrible. gambitto: I'm not blaming Girardi for Wang's issues as I believe those are Eiland's problems. With the way they played last year and so far this year (especially with all the money spent on FAs and the stadium), I'm just saying that it is a bit surprising that the Steinbrenners aren't threatening Girardi's job yet. I thought that Girardi was a good manager when he came along and maybe he is when it comes to strategy but he really needs to find better coaches for his staff.
