重点: A-Rod拿回他的棒子
1. 周日魔鬼鱼的三垒手岩村的棒子因老托的抗议被没收後, A-Rod的球棒也因魔鬼鱼总教
练Maddon的要求同样被没收。岩村的球棒被老托怀疑比一般球棒要短。
2. MLB当局检查後说两支球棒都完全符合规定, 没有任何乱改或改变正常球棒的徵象, 所
以两支球棒立即被归还给球员。
3. A-Rod说: "太好了, 我很高兴是这样。" 当(有点白目的)记者问道, 他是不是很高兴球
棒没有被发现任何不合法的改变。A-Rod很轻蔑地说: "我才不会这样做呢!"
The third baseman's bat was confiscated by the umpires in Saturday's game
against Tampa Bay, after Devil Rays' manager Joe Maddon requested them to
inspect it. Maddon was responding to Torre's request that the umpires inspect
Akinori Iwamura's unique, shorn-off looking bat.
MLB ruled that both bats were in full compliance with regulations, and that
neither bat showed any signs of tampering and/or alteration. Both bats were
to be promptly returned.
"Cool," Rodriguez said. "I'm happy for that."
When asked if he was pleased that nothing illegal was found about his bat, he
said, "I don't give a (hoot)."
