Now 21, the right-hander was called up on Tuesday amid outsized expectations. He played there one year and lost 50 pounds before transferring to the University of Nebraska. A former prison social worker and bouncer, the elder Chamberlain is stricken with polio on the left side of his body and uses crutches or a motorized scooter to get around.
