Mets DFA Robinson Cancel

Bart Hubbuch of The NY Post reports that the Mets have designated catcher
Robinson Cancel for assignment, creating room on the roster for Gary
Sheffield as he comes off the disabled list. Cancel hit .000-.000-.000 in one
whole plate appearance with the Amazin's this year. He was hitting
.218-.266-.259 in 209 PA with Triple-A Buffalo before his brief callup.
