转自看板 StatelessCat ─────────────────────────────────────── 我觉得 Harrison 和 Dennis 最值得学习。（Judy已经提过了XD） TME Harrison 即兴幽默的功夫是值得追求的。 Language Evaluator Dennis 是冷面笑匠。他是有备而来的哦。 当时有些东西我来不及抄。如果我硬是要抄就不是 live in the moment了。 其实大家能读到他的稿子，我就不用在这瞎扯了XD I. 看讲者得到的启发 都是当天分别从各讲者身上得到的启发。Don't ask me who they are! XD 1) 讲话通顺。讲一句话pose太多听起来很不舒服，听起来胸口会闷闷的。 其实我有同样的毛病，大部分的原因是稿子没背熟。其实我平常讲话也会 >.< 2) 呼吸要顺。一口气要讲完，吐完气要吸个够。可能就是要用丹田吧…… 不知道大家有没有发现，有些人或许是因为紧张，总会觉得他/她呼吸很不relax。 听起来胸口闷闷的，好像游泳不会换气一样有点小不舒服。 3) 人言合一。 如果动作、表情和语言没有合一的话，听起来会很奇怪。观众无法跟着High起来。 3) 简化互动。 如果有时间问两个以上的问题的话，或许可以先问简单的，再问难的， 这样难的答不出来也比较不会觉得不好。 4) 听Speech是学习的绝佳机会 从别人的 Good Performance & mistakes 中学习。 别人会自己不会的，学起来。别人不会自己也不会的，学起来。 在会中每次都会遇到一堆自己不会讲的，也会听到一堆别人会讲自己还不会讲的， 如果每次都把这些记下来，不是超实用的吗？ 所以我非常欣赏每周的Agenda後面的Review。那是学习的宝库，自己做更有效。 最後我要说。批评人容易，做起来难。 我看到了，不一定代表我做到了。台上五分钟，台下十年功，路还远着～ 但至少，有努力的目标，有努力的方向。 ------------------------------------------------------------ II. Who are you? →this moment 3) William Ryan - Why I becam a Chriopractic（应该是Chiropractic?） 毕竟是有历练的大人，讲话沉着、有自信，也很幽默。 I like the "quesition time" which anabled the audience to interact with him. Story's Scrap: He was a teacher in a High school in Pheladelphia, U.S. High shools is dangerous!! Car slashed, one of the window smashed. (rhyme!!有压韵耶^^) → What Should I do? Let's take a break. Quitted the school, and buy a 700cc Honda bike. Riding Honda bike, Travel around, to RELAX. Car accident happend. foot broke. foot recovered later, but back couldn't be straight. walking like an old man. see ordinary doctors, they all say "no problem" then his friend insisted that he go to see a Chiropractist. The Chiropractist fixed his back very fast. Surprised. → Realized what he should do in the res of his life. learn Chiropractic for 8 years, also being a cook for 4 years for making living. Now, have been do this for 25 years, and still doing it. ※他只做动作没有讲驼背这个词，可能怕我们听不懂。我去查了一下。 驼背：<adj> humpbacked, hunchbacked. <n> a humpback, a hunchback 似乎两者通用 译典通例句：驼背老人 an old man with a hump 弓着背 She hunched down in her seat □ 还不是很清楚正确的用法。 比如说「走路不要驼背」这个怎麽讲呢？ Don't hunch you back while you are walking. 这样讲吗？ 4) Justice Liao - Apple or Orange Value: Try differen aproach (regarding the counselling) 是这样吗？ →To tell boss they should use Phonecal aswell as Web for counselling. Good: 坦克的图片，很清楚地把Idea给Show出来。 我觉得其实可以一开始就Show。才不会让人听得不知所云。 Machine gun：扫多中少 → Web Counselling Canon：命中率高，杀很大 → Phonecall Counselling ※命中率：High Shooting Average（他没讲这词儿） Improve: "It's like a International Business Class" said Asoon. 真的有在上课的感觉。A16这数字听起来吓人的。但Gabby在後面戳我，说她快睡着了。 ※我想讲「我对这个演讲有似曾相似的感觉」，想用「Dejavu」这个词，但不太会讲。 □ I have a dejavu of international business class. 可以这麽讲不？ 5) Judy Lee - Who I want to be Value：Be yoursef 网路上竟然有她的讲稿： http://www.toastmasters.org.tw/d67web/en/convention/speech/sc/09sc-e01.html 优点：Spring Convention 时已见识过，好话就不多说了。 缺点：她的 Speech Style 可能有些人会不喜欢。就是整体的那一种气雰。 就如强者我同学听到她一直讲「A-cup」就有点不喜欢 XD 还有那句话："Are you look at me? sure!" 让人听起来有点不舒服。 但用正面的词描述自己身体的那一段非常好，很有娱乐性： "I have Asian single-eyelid eyes, cute nose, healthy color skin, sexy ass and（pause）good shape A cup." Anyway, Her skills are great. The strange mood doesn't make her less worthy to be our suty model. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ III. Language Notes 以下记录的是Legacy Joint Meeting 的语言笔记。 包括大家当时讲不出来的、我听到到新词儿、当下想到却不会讲的、 觉得该学起来的用法、知道却没有很熟练的。反正认为该学的都写下来了。 问题 常客：______ （在讲 William 是常客时，主持人不知道怎麽讲，我更不知道XD） a regular customer 像是固定会去某家餐厅吃饭的人 a frequent guest 用来形容像 William 常来做客的 a frequenter 不知道常不常用 庸医：______ （在听 William 讲医生都说他没事时想知道的） a quack（quack 也是鸭叫声）; a charlatan; a quack physician a doctor with inadequate medical knowledge or skill; a good-for-nothing doctor biker or bike rider （Rebecca讲biker 时Harryson没有马上听懂。不知道为什麽） Biker：有点坏坏的感觉。比较像少年的感觉。有网站叫Bikers USA，说明这应是常用\ 的。 Biker Rider: 不管是重机还是小绵羊都算吧。就是平平的「寄机车的人」 ？special favor: 优待？（听到的，不知道什麽意思，是优待吗？还是特殊口味？） 优待：preferential treatment, 款待：cordial reception, receive someone cordially. 好句子 You have profound knowledge. He Conducted the meeting very effectively. 生字 receptionist: 招待员 Chiropractic: 整骨 那天 William 写 Chrio-,我觉得念起来有点别扭。 查证後发现各大网站与字典都是写 Chiro- 。 问题：医学院的系英文都怎麽讲？ 有跟Asoon讨论医学系英文到底怎麽讲。上台大医学院网站查证： 医学院：College of Medicine ※院都叫 College 医学系：School of Medicine ※不像财金系叫 Department of Finance 药学系：School of Pharmacy 护理系：School of Nursing 牙医系：School of Dentistry 职能治疗系：School of Occupational Therapy 物理治疗系：School of Physical Therapy 医学检验暨生物技术学系（医技系）： Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences and Medical Biotechnology ※只有这个系叫"Department" 常听到 Medical School 一词。像 Harvard 就是用 Medical School. □ 不懂 College of Medicine 和 Medical School 有什麽不一样？ 本来只想写个大纲的，一写就停不下来，连续写了两个小时 ^^ 好久没有这麽晚睡了。我最近变乖了，都12点前睡的。 今天难得这麽废。救救我的肝！ --
