Hsin-Yuan Huang, thank you for your interest in joining the U of M Men's Rugby team. I apologize for the delay of a response, but the club server was down. For the summer, there are no practices. We begin practice late August, but as for now there are no practice dates scheduled. Practices are generally Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 4pm-6pm, once they begin. There is a tournament in Winnipeg, Canada in mid-August that we travel on with a local men’s team called the St. Paul Jazz Pigs. I strongly suggest that you come on the trip. It isn’t necessary to come along, but it is a great time to meet both teams and get a feel for U of M rugby. I believe that is where we will set the start date for two-a-days towards the end of August. If you can’t make it for whatever reason (not a big deal), email me later in August to get the practice schedule at [email protected]. If you do choose to go on the trip, look for details on the Saint Paul Jazz Pigs website, http://www.saintpaulrugby.com, and click on the SNAFU link. Other than that, I would also suggest to get your running in now before practice. Believe me, you’ll thank yourself later. Other than that, I truly hope you come out for the team and get ready for the time of you life. I can honestly say that joining this rugby team was the best decision I made in college.
