Ans.:
10 pC *(1/2)^(t/3.8) = 4 pC
t=5.0 days
3. Explain why photochemical smog is often with reddish color?
(Hint: The color is due to a certain product in reaction.)
Ans.:
The reddish color of photochemical smog is due to the red color of NO2(g).
N2(g)+O2(g) → 2NO(g)
2NO(g)+O2(g) → 2NO2(g) (Red)
