1. A singular disadvantage of the sea lies in the fact that after successfully

important and just as nervously anxious to do something effective in the
way of swamping boats. ...As each slaty wall of water approached, it shut

grace in the move of the waves, and they came in silence, asve for the
snarling of the crests.

where a successful shaft could be driven.

"She's crying."
"Never mind," my father said. He spoke with
resignation, even good humour, the words which absolved and dismissed me
for good. "She's only a girl," he said.
I didn't protest that, even in my heart. Maybe it was true.

in the air. In the street below a peddler was crying hes wares. The notes
of a distant song which some one was singing reached her faintly, and
countless sparrows were twittering in the trees.
There were patches of blue sky showing here and there through the clouds

girl's delight when, told that it's a grasshopper, she is given a bell
cricket; laugh with affection at a girl's chargin when, told that it's a
bell crickets in this world. Probably you will find a girl like a
grasshopper whom you think is a bell cricket.
