Here are some very interesting aspects of his life: 1.He bought his first share at age 11 and he now regrets that he started too late! (他11岁开始买了第一张股票,但现在还是很後悔说他太晚买了!) 2.He bought a small farm at age 14 with savings from delivering newspapers. ( 他14岁时,就用他从小时候送报纸所赚的钱,买了一个小农场.) 3.He still lives in the same small 3-bedroom house in mid-town Omaha, that he bought after he got married 50 years ago. He says that he has everything he needs in that house. His house does not have a wall or a fence. ( 他虽然富甲一方,却仍然住在奥玛哈小镇的一栋三房小屋内,那是他结婚50周年後所买 的房子.他说他们家什麽都有了啊 ! 他家甚至连围墙或篱笆都没有!) 4.He drives his own car everywhere and does not have a driver or security people around him. ( 他都自己开车出门,也没有请司机或保全人员跟着他.) 5.He never travels by private jet, although he owns the world's largest private jet company. ( 他虽然是世界最大的私人喷射客机公司的老板,但却从来没有搭私人飞机旅行过.) 6.His company, Berkshire Hathaway, owns 63 companies. He writes only one letter each year to the CEOs of these companies, giving them goals for the year. He never holds meetings or calls them on a regular basis. He has given his CEO's only two rules. His past time after he gets home is to make himself some pop corn and watch Television. (他不太跟群众交际应酬 .下班後主要活动就是弄一点爆米花来吃吃,跟看看电视.) 8.Bill Gates, the world's richest man met him for the first time only 5 years ago. Bill Gates did not think he had anything in common with Warren Buffet. So he had scheduled his meeting only for half hour. But when Gates met him, the meeting lasted for ten hours and Bill Gates became a devotee of Warren Buffet. (五年前世界首富比尔盖兹第一次跟巴菲特见面,他觉得他跟巴菲特根本没有什麽共同点, 所以他只排了半个小时跟巴菲特会谈 .但当他们见面後,一共谈了10个小时,从此之後, 比尔盖兹开始变成巴菲特的忠实信徒,献身慈善事业 .) 9.Warren Buffet does not carry a cell phone,nor has a computer on his desk. ( 巴菲特不带手机,桌上有没电脑.) His advice to young people:"Stay away from credit cards and invest in yourself and Remember: 他给时下年轻人的建议是「远离信用卡的物慾, 多投资自己并且牢记」 A.Money doesn't create man but it is the man who created money. (钱是人创造出来的,但是钱不会创造人.) B.Live your life as simple as you are. ( 过你自己想过的简单生活吧!) C.Don't do what others say, just listen them, but do what you feel good (别人说的话听听可以,但不一定要照做,做你自己觉得很棒的事 .) D.Don't go on brand name; just wear those things in which u feel comfortable. ( 别走入名牌的迷思,穿你觉得舒服的服饰即可.) E.Don't waste your money on unnecessary things; just spend on them who really in need rather. (与其把钱花在不必要的事情上,倒不如把钱花在真正需要的地方.) F.After all it's your life then why give chance to others to rule our life. ( 总而言之,这是你的人生,干嘛让其他人来指挥你的人生呢?) --
