In 2002, he moved to Brooklyn, NY and participated in a number of art residencies. Through extensive studio time and experimentation, he eventually broke away from the formulaic style of his drawings and explored different approaches of conflict creating an entirely new series of works including painting, sculpture and installation. With a significant body of work, Concepcion was able to exhibit both locally and internationally and has had a number of solo exhibitions in the last few years. In 2011 he was both a New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) finalist in the Drawing Category and a Nominee for the Joan Mitchell Foundation Painters and Sculptors Grant. He divides his time as a full-time artist working between Manila and Brooklyn. He is currently working as a resident artist with Haohaus Artist-In-Residence Program in Hsinchu for one month. http://www.ernestconcepcion.com/ ● 凌佩诗(香港) CC Ling Pui Sze (Hong Kong) 1989年生於中国广州，1997年移居香港，2012年毕业於香港中文大学艺术系，曾获王无邪 水墨创作奖。个展包括《一切由海洋开始》（安全口画廊，香港，2014）及《变态》（香 港中文大学新亚书院钱穆图书馆，2012），曾参与的联展有《CC & SE》（中国艺术项目 ，香港，2014）及《白噪声》（安全口画廊，香港，2013）等。佩诗尝试不同媒材创作， 毕业後集中创作了一系列以水墨及拼贴为主的作品，以实验性水墨呈现在画布上。佩诗喜 以大自然有机形态、昆虫、动物等生物特性作灵感以装置及复合媒材呈现在作品中。作品 中可见到类似模仿生命演变的解构与重组，其作品大部份规格都超过一公尺长，有些甚至 超过两公尺，带着大写意的风格，却能见其中的细节。目前正於新竹好思当代艺术进驻计 画(泽藩12)进行为期两个月的驻村创作。 Ling Pui Sze was born in Guangzhou, China in 1989 and moved to Hong Kong in 1997. In 2012, she graduated in fine arts (BFA) from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, receiving the Wucius Wong Creative Ink Painting Award at graduation. Her solo exhibitions include "It all begins in the Sea" (Gallery Exit, Hong Kong, 2014) and "Metamorphosis" (Ch’ien Mu Library, New Asia College, CUHK, Hong Kong, 2012). Group exhibitions include "CC & SE" (China Art Projects, Hong Kong, 2014) and "disturbances" (Gallery Exit, Hong Kong, 2013). Ling uses a variety of media, and after graduation has focused on ink painting and collage, experimenting with different ink effects on canvas. Natural organic forms and the characteristics of insects, animals and other organisms are inspiration in her installation and mixed media artwork.
