Jets' Ryan plans to outcoach Patriots' Belichick
Rex Ryan declared that he expects to best Patriots coach Bill Belichick in
Sunday’s AFC Divisional battle with New England on Sunday.
I recognize that this week this is about Bill Belichick versus Rex Ryan,”
the Jets’ bold coach said Monday morning at Florham Park. “There is no
question. It’s personal. It’s about him against myself. And that’s what it
’s going to come down to.
Ryan also revealed he’s not a fan of Patriots QB Tom Brady’s celebratory
pointing after scores, calling them “antics.” Ryan said that for all the
talk of him taking a shot at Brady last week with his comments comparing
Brady to Peyton Manning, Brady “took a shot at me by his antics on the field.
”
Asked what antics those are, Ryan replied, “Just the way he – Brady being
Brady. I don’t like seeing that. Nobody does. No Jet fan likes to see that.
And I know he can’t wait to do it. He’s not going to say anything publicly
but he does it – it’s what it is.
