He has been a solid starter for the past three years and had a breakout year in 2006 coming down with eight interceptions but slipped a bit in 2007 coming up with just one. He has excellent size for the position as well as premier top-end speed. He is a bit stiff in the hips and knees and does not pedal with ease to extend the cushion. He often has to bail early as receivers can close the cushion on him and he is not real fluid or quick in transition. He plays better in a trail alignment than when in man/off or in zone where he can use his speed to stay in the receiver's hip. He does not show great route awareness and does not get a great jump on the ball from zone. He has the ability to use his size and long arms to jam receivers at the line of scrimmage or re-route them after the release but does not look real confident in his skills. At times it looks like he is too afraid to make a mistake to take any chances.
