Sorry I cannot type Chinese on this computer :P Rare earth (稀土) defects provide inter-gap levels in the original oxides, and the inter-gap levels allow PL appearing in the oxides So you can see PL in such oxides with rare earth defects If you use pure rare earth oxides, you will have simple band gaps without defects levels.
