Unique atmosphere: Furnished in a colorful, original style, with a mix of modern and traditional Chinese furniture. Decorations include a wide variety of paper and cloth lanterns (some handmade), Nepalese Buddhist art and houseplants. Living room is very spacious, kitchen fully equipped, shared bathroom. 5th floor walk up. International: You will be living with an educated, mature American (female) who is a long-time resident of Taiwan. I have a graduate degree in social science. I am fluent in Chinese and also speak French. I occasionally hold movie and discussion events in the living room. There are several bedrooms, so I regularly have guests coming from overseas to stay. The neighborhood: Convenient to transportation but located close to hiking trails, nearby night market, local shops, and Bitan riverside park with bike paths and suspension bridge. No traffic noise! The back of the apartment faces a forested mountainside. Instead you will hear birds, frogs, monkeys and occasionally a rooster (not too close). Transportation: Walk (10 mins) or bike (3 mins) to nearest MRT station (Xindian District Office). From there, it is a 12-min MRT ride to Taipower station; 20 mins to Taipei Main Station.
