Kant argues that our experience of moral obligation makes sense only if we are truly free. ●Morality, according to Kant, requires u to ignore our inclinations and perform our duties out of pure respect for the rational law that is their source. ●Kant contends that we, as rational animals, necessarily hope that moral worth and happiness will coincide.
