UConn has added the services of a high-scoring wing in the class of 2012.
Omar Calhoun, a 6-foot-3 guard from Christ the King in New York, verbally
committed to UConn Friday.
Calhoun is ranked by both Rivals.com and Scout.com among the top 10
shooting guards in the class of 2012.
Calhoun’s father, also named Omar, said his son was anxious to play for
a winning team in college and UConn’s recent title certainly helped
it in his recruitment.
“Definitely one of the biggest factors was the national championship,”
said by phone Friday morning.
Omar Calhoun口头答应要加入康乃狄克大学。
根据Rivals.com与Scout.com赋予的SG等级，Calhoun可是2012年排行前10名的SG，
而他的父亲也表示Calhoun非常渴望为今年的王者球队效力，他要在加入这支球队
时就帮助球队继续获得冠军。
Omar Calhoun决定加入康乃狄克大学的最大因素是这间大学在今年赢得了NCAA冠军。
