July 28, 2005 Dear Mr. Rodriguez, 亲爱的罗德里兹先生： I write this letter to tell you how much the fans of the Bears care for you and the whole team, and how we wish to encourage you. 　　我写这封信是要告诉你，我们熊迷多麽关心你和整个队，以及我们多麽想要 鼓励你。 I am impressed by you because of some of your behaviors. Once when I was watching your game on TV, I saw you crossing yourself when entering batter's box. This scene impressed me so much as you seem to be a pious Christian--precisely speaking, are you a Catholic as I am? Beside this, it is reported that you read novels in your leisure time-- not many baseball players do this in theirs. Some fans call you "儒将" --ru-jiang, a general with scholar temperance. Others had wanted to give you novels, but they declined for the afraid of sending you novels that you have already read. There are administrators, and they hold activities in real world and on the "board". For example, we have one called 'asking players questions' recently, and all fans would pick ten questions to ask among all candidate questions. 　　数百名熊迷上电子布告栏系统（ＢＢＳ）讨论与熊队有关的新闻和感想─我 是他们之一。那里有管理员，而且他们在真实世界和「板」上办活动。比如说， 我们最近有个活动叫「问球员问题」，而所有球迷会在所有候选问题中挑十个。 You are one of the chosen players in this activity. Therefore, I send you this question list, on which every question is the best choice of us. Some questions, according to my observation, are inspiring to us, so would you answer us, please? We weep for the leaving of the most promising catcher (really, some of us did), rage at the journalists making up ridiculous stories, and suffer from the not-for-the-first-time scandal. I cannot go to the ballgame to support the Team, so I write this letter. I wish that you can cheer us up by performing well on the field, and perhaps, by answering this letter and those questions.
