We have to communicate with System Manager, it's not hard. I know how GameOS does it. Regarding CORE_OS package, ps3dm_um can inspect, update and extract packages. They all have the same interface but different purpose. First, you could check CORE_OS 3.56 with inspect cmd, it will tell you if the pkg is OK and if you can install it.
