标题[问题] 关於子宫肌瘤

As with the breast, progesterone is a growth factor for myomas and may even
be more critical than estrogen.
这句话我看不太懂，因为子宫肌瘤和estrogen太多以及progesterone太少有关，
而这句话却说「progesterone is a growth factor for myomas...」？
还有「As with the breast」是指「在哺乳的时候」吗？
烦请各位高手指点，谢谢！
