今年(2008)台湾地区白米价格大约是每公斤33元新台币.
所以1650元新台币 = 50公斤白米 = 4 大洋.
因此 720 大洋 = 297000 元新台币.
换言之,当年毛泽东的月薪相当於新台币三万三.

另外一个算法:
一枚袁大头的含银重量为 23.9024808克.
本日国际银价为8.87美元/盎司.
1 盎司 = 28.3495 克
所以 1 袁大头 = 7.48 美元.
今日 1 美元 = 33.38 新台币.
所以 1 袁大头 (大洋) = 7.48 美元 = 249.68 新台币.
故 720 大洋 = 179771.328 元新台币.
若用这种算法,毛泽东当年的月薪不到新台币两万.
