Monk and Collins are considered by the Mavs to be “top-10,’’ as DB.com reports here. But Dallas views Monk as a shoot-first guard, and the Mavs' idea is a pass-first point guard. Meanwhile, Dallas doesn’t necessarily want to double-up in using assets at center (with restricted free agent Nerlens Noel a club priority).
