Mavericks, Rick Carlisle reach agreement on new 5-year deal
Coach Rick Carlisle and the Dallas Mavericks have come to terms on a new
contract extension.
Sources told ESPN.com the extension is a new five-year deal in the $35
million range that will make Carlisle the league's highest-paid coach without
a dual executive role and will take him well into his second decade with the
club.
Carlisle was widely believed to be in the final year of his second contract
with the Mavs, but sources say the club actually held a little-known team
option for the 2016-17 season. The new five-year deal will then take effect
in 2017-18 through 2021-22.
Carlisle released a statement Thursday evening confirming the extension.
小牛与总教练Carlisle达成五年35M的延长合约协议
Carlisle也将会成为联盟当中最高薪的教练
由於在16-17赛季仍有球队选项，延长合约将从2017-18到2021-22
而Carlisle本人也已确认这项消息
Rick Carlisle於2008年开始执掌小牛队兵符
累计战绩340胜222败，胜率.605
为队史最多胜的总教练
并在2011年带领球队拿下队史首座总冠军
