http://tinyurl.com/pbeahjz The Mavericks have been in contact with sharpshooter Mo Williams, who has an interesting past that is linked to Devin Harris, who remains the No. 1 option in free agency to man the point-guard spot. When Williams earned his first major long-term contract, which started in the 2007-08 season, he got $7.75 million in the first year. Days later, Harris agreed to a contract starting at $7.8 million and then-coach Avery Johnson made a point when the deal was being constructed that it was crucial to get Harris’ starting salary north of Williams as they were considered two of the rising backcourt players in the league. The two have never played together, but that could happen next season if the Mavericks can find a way to afford Harris. Mid-level point guards Shaun Livingston and Darren Collison both have agreed to deals with Golden State and Sacramento, respectively, for the mid-level exception, which makes sense. But that will start their three-year deals at more than $5 million in the first season. The Mavericks were hoping to get Harris for something closer to the $3-million range. The price of poker has gone up, though. There still is confidence that a deal will get done, but if the Mavericks are able to reel in Carmelo Anthony, it might get more problematic to keep Harris. Ditto for Vince Carter, who is getting interest from a handful of contending teams. Meanwhile, Shawn Marion continues to weigh his options. He mentioned numerous times after the season that he was looking for a legitimate shot to win a title, and with the Mavericks wooing Anthony and other small forwards, it would indicate that there’s a decent chance Marion signs elsewhere when contracts can be signed July 10. 小牛目前首要任务是签回Harris 不过目前传出小牛跟Mo Williams有密切来往 目前满多队对Harris还有VC有兴趣 另外Marion也还在探索各种可能性 --
