But he also said that Mavericks fans shouldn't read too much into that. "I’m from there," Williams said in an interview with the New Jersey newspaper. "My mom lives there. My brother lives there. My aunt, my uncles live there. I’m going there to have my son’s birthday party. I’m going Thursday through Tuesday."
