Mavericks point guard Jason Kidd will
miss the next three games due to a
lower-back injury suffered in Thursday’s loss at San Antonio. “We don’t
believe it’s a real serious thing, but we’re going to err on the side of
caution,” head coach Rick Carlisle said. Kidd, 38, is averaging 4.9 points,
4.5 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game. All 12 of his made field
goals this season have been 3-pointers.
With Kidd out, Delonte West will likely
move from shooting guard to the point and Vince Carter will replace him at the
two.
