Mariners reach deal with League, two more
Vargas, Kelley also agree to contracts and avoid arbitration

League, 28, signed for
$5 million.
League is in his final season of arbitration eligibility and will become a
free agent next year.

Vargas, 28, signed a one-year deal for
$4.85 million.
Vargas, who has one more year of arbitration eligibility, earned $2.45
million last year when he went 10-13 with a 4.25 ERA and pitched 201 innings
in 32 starts.

Kelley, 27, will earn
$600,000, with a potential $50,000 more in incentives,
in his first year of arbitration eligibility as a Super 2 qualifier.
He normally wouldn't have been eligible for arbitration for one more year,
but qualifies early under the Collective Bargaining Agreement that calls for
the top 17 percent of players who have between 2-3 years of service time to
become "Super 2" qualifiers.
