Nomar's younger brother posted a .399 OBP in his 257 minor league at-bats. The power hasn't come yet, but he has worked to add the strength he'll need if he's going to have a shot. It will probably come down to versatility. Garciaparra was used mostly at second base last season and the only other position he played was shortstop, his former home.
