Liverpool FC have made a move in the transfer market on Thursday. The Reds have officially confirmed that 29-year-old James Milner is moving to Anfield on a free transfer from Man City. Milner’s move is subject to a medical, while Liverpool have announced that th e England international will complete his transfer on July 1st, when his curre nt contract at Man City expires. Milner has apparently rejected a new contract worth ꌱ65,000-a-week at the Eti had in order to move to a club where he will be regarded as a key player and p layed in his favoured central position. One can imagine he’ll be on high wage s at Anfield too. Assuming Brendan Rodgers stays on as manager of the club, he sees Milner as an ideal figure to step into the shoes of the departing Steven Gerrard. The midfielder is a hard worker, who is versatile and energetic.
