He was at the club before Sheikh Mansour’s stunning takeover, and seven years later he remains the only Academy graduate still in the first team set-up. He has been written off time and again but Manuel Pellegrini saw enough in the Belgian to offer him a new two-year deal at the end of last season. I’ve got a lot of friends in jail, still today. The first thing is what your parents educate you. And you should come to a point when you should know right from wrong and you have to make a choice. “When I was younger my difference was I grew up with parents who were really close to me.
