Silva is reportedly carrying a hamstring injury and isn't likely to recover
on time to face the Red Devils when City welcome them to Eastlands.
In an interview published on Goal.com, City manager Roberto Mancini
confronted press ahead of their dead-rubber tie with Borussia Dortmund in the
Champions League. When asked about the absence of a few key players—
including David Silva—from the UCL matchday six squad, Mancini said:
[David] Silva is not here because he has a hamstring injury, and we do not
know at the moment if he can recover in time for the derby.
