"He has been working hard and finally he's been putting in a lot of quality at-bats. And he also got four hits, one a grand slam, so it's paying off, the work he's putting in." After Chen's first two hits gave Akron a 3-0 lead, the Aeros piled on five runs in the fourth as Roberto Perez drew a bases-loaded walk, Ryan Rohlinger scored on a groundout, Tim Fedroff came home on a wild pitch and Chen doubled home Adam Abraham. Perez added an RBI single an inning later. Chen's RBI single sparked a seven-run eighth as Abraham scored on a fielder's choice and Chen came home on a wild pitch before Bellow's blast. Bellows has two homers and seven RBIs in his last four games after struggling to start the year. He entered the game batting .149 against right-handed pitchers and had two RBIs in his first 28 games. "When you see the players having success -- you spend a lot of time with them on the field, we get here early to the ballpark and they're hitting the cage, we go out and work on different areas of their games, we hit, come back and then right before the game, we get in the cage and work on the swing," Odor said. "And when you see that translating to the field, it's very special to see the players have success. "Ultimately, they want to have success and move to the next level and, eventually, the big leagues." Akron starter T.J. House (2-1) coasted with the generous support, allowing a run on two hits over six innings. He walked four and struck out five.
