Hu, who had not picked up more than two RBIs in a game since Aug. 18, began his assault with a three-run homer in the fourth that gave Jacksonville (14-5) a 5-0 lead. An inning later, he ripped a three-run double to highlight a six- run uprising. The 23-year-old shortstop from Taiwan went 3-for-6 with two runs scored. He leads the Southern League with 107 hits and is third with a .329 batting average. Hu is hitting .356 (21-for-59) with three homers, five doubles and 11 RBIs since he was named to the World Team for Sunday's All-Star Futures Game in San Francisco. The win was Shoemaker's 303rd with the Suns, making him the franchise's winningest manager during its time in the Southern League. Shoemaker will travel with Hu to AT&T Park for the Futures Game. David Nicholson chipped in three hits, two RBIs and three runs scored, while Alberto Concepcion was 4-for-6 with an RBI and three runs scored for the Suns. Starter Zachary Hammes (4-5) picked up the win by firing six scoreless innings . He allowed three hits and two walks while striking out four. Eric Riggs delivered a two-run double for the Mudcats (8-11), who scored six times in the seventh.
