But they became restless when Carey delayed her stage appearance until she received the all-clear from a physician after suffering problems with her vocal chords, according to New York Post gossip column PageSix. The star turned up two hours later, and waited in her car until Ciara, who was also performing at the venue, had finished her show - so as not to upstage the R&B star.
