被英国人认养的白尾得了犬瘟,一个月前就走了 但我一直没有被通知这件事,直到昨天写信给他们,提醒他们要带小狗去结紮, 收到回信时我才知道这个坏消息。 我不知道为什麽之前他们会找不到我,最有可能是手机或联络方式有误 再者这只小狗的追踪工作又是我和毓婷一起负责,结果两人沟通出了问题, 都以为对方有在追踪,才造成我们最後知道这件事情。 一些细节没有照顾好,让大家那麽晚才得到消息,我觉得很抱歉... 底下是他们回信全文。希望白尾在天上过的很好... Hi Shandy, Glad to hear from you! In fact we tried to contact you a month ago with some bad news, because Whitetail was in really bad shape. It turned out that he was infected with virus called Distemper. The vet told us that he must have contracted it before we got him as he had no contact with other animals while he was with us and because of the incubation period of the disease. It was a very traumatic time for us as he had settled in to our family very well and we grown to love him so quickly. He died in the vets surgery, he was having fits after collapsing in our home. The vet told us that there was very little chance he could pull through. He died after developing symptoms for 4 days, initially having seizures every few hours, where he would 'foam' at his mouth, developing finally into fitting constantly and then collapsing. We wanted to talk to you about it to warn you incase other puppies and dogs contracted the disease while in the animal shelter. We tried to call but you didnt answer, and because of our sadness, we have tried to put this event to the back of our minds. We still have the cage and will return it to you.
