Both players were forced to leave the field injured during Saturday's 1-1 draw at Sheffield United. The scans showed that Carragher has sustained a sprained medial ligament in his left ankle while Riise has torn lateral ligaments in his left ankle. A Liverpool spokesman said: "We expect both players to be unable to train for the next two to three weeks." --
