SKYSPORTS Chile coach Nelson Acosta has revealed he may attempt to call up Liverpool winger Mark Gonzalez for the upcoming South American World Cup qualifiers. 智利教练Nelson Acosta表示他很有可能在即将来临的南美区世界盃资格赛中招回利记 的"Speedy" Gonzalez The Reds star retired from international football at the age of just 21 after being disgusted when he was sent home from the country's tour of Europe back in May. 但是Speedy已经在21岁时因为厌恶Acosta不分青红皂白将他驱出国家队而宣布从此退 出国家队. 若是他要为国家队出赛, 至少不是Acosta带领的智利. Both Gonzalez and team-mate Reinaldo Navia were disciplined when three girls were discovered in their room 24 hours after a friendly with Republic of Ireland as Acosta refused to believe they were merely autograph hunters. Gonzalez has declared he will not play for his country under the current management, but Acosta seems keen to end the feud. "Maybe I could call him up for the South American World Cup qualifiers," said Acosta. "He could also be called up by another coach, I do not know about the future."
