I did what you said and tried to set up the ADSL connection for several times, but the messages remained: no pppoe packages. So, I reloaded the system - MDV 2009 ONe. And, luckily, it worked after the reload. There is, however, another problem with MDV 2009. That is, SMVideo (or any other video player, for that matter) does not show videos. I can hear the sound, but no image present. Is this a codec problem? How to resolve this? Sorry that I have to respond in English. Typing Chinese is a headache using both SCIM and GCIN. (I dont use Zhu-yin, but use Pin-yin instead.) Its a bit hard to choose the right word. But you are welcome to respond in Chinese, cause reading Chinese is apparently much easier than typing it, though in some other environments than PCMan, reading Chinese becomes impossible. For example, some of the mp3 files can not show file name (Chinese) properly. Id appreciate it if someone can help to solve that problrm as well. Thanks a lot, the PTT-Linux Community.
