AJL is committed to creating opportunities for junior linguists to present
their work at a formal academic conference. Junior linguists mainly include
undergraduate students studying linguistics, but Master's and PhD level
submissions are also welcome.
Plenary speakers are:
Tatsumi Yuta (Meikai University)
Atsushi Oho (Otaru University of Commerce)
Hijo Kang (Chonnam National University)
Haruo Kubozono (NINJAL)
The 11th AJL conference will be held in person at International Christian
University, located in Tokyo, Japan. Zoom will be used for participants who
cannot attend in person.

- One page (including references and examples), A4 size
- 1 inch margin, 12 point font, Times New Roman
- Please submit as a PDF file
- In-progress research is welcome, and should be indicated clearly in the
abstract. The abstract should also provide details of the analysis and
predictions or expected findings.
All participants who submit an abstract should request their advisors to
separately submit an approval form by October 4, 2026, using this link: https:

(For multi-author abstracts with multiple advisors, please arrange for the
advisor of the first author to submit the approval form.)
