Thought is the highest spiritual form of human beings. The existence of one's thought is the existence of one's being. The significance of "language" is that thoughts are represented by languages. Thus to study thoughts requires the study of languages; the limits of languages are the limits of thoughts. Differences of languages arise from facilitating different uses. Natural language is an inherited one. It facilitates the interaction between human beings and the nature. Although the syntax is fixed, the semantics is changing through the cognitive process for different pragmatic situations. This structure of natural language enables us to imagine, interpret, create, and express our anthropological existence. The high order ability of natural language makes human's meta-cognition possible, allowing thoughts of thoughts, and this gives the birth of "philosophy"! Logic models our reasoning. While semantics can be represented by subset relationships, inference can be formalized as procedures. The reduced syntax and unambiguity simplify studying the meta-properties of inference in a rigorous way. In the analytic sense, the clarity of reasoning is the clarity of our thoughts, the limit of reasoning is the limit of our thoughts. The study of infiniteness semantics under finite constructs reveals different possible realities of our existence. Programming language is a more flexible one. New syntax and its link to new semantics are allowed and appear rapidly for new purposes. The frequent births of new languages makes programming languages a good study of "language itself" from a pure language point of view. Despite the undecidability property in common with logic and natural language, though programming languages need to meet the requirements of {safety, modularity, reusability, and cognitive simplicity}, the flexibility in syntax and semantics makes programming languages an art of language. The deep understanding of foundational languages touches the essential properties of thoughts.
