This is the first time that we gather distinguished ecologists
from both Taiwan and Japan to form a workshop. The purpose of
this workshop is to facilitate interactions among ecologists from
both countries. The workshop serves as a means to discuss
important ecological and environmental issues in the 21th century.
This workshop also aims to cultivate exchanges of ideas among
scientists and students.
