When we arrived, saw Calvin Choi Yi Kit (a singer from the group "Grass Hopper"). Grass Hoppers were formally Anita Mui"s dancers. I went over to approach him and had the conversation. Fan - Excuse me, are you Choi Yi Kit? Yi Kit - Yes. Fan - Can I take a picture with you? Yi Kit - Sure (i can feel that he is very warm and sincere), come and sit down. He immediately put his arms over my shoulder when I sat down. Yi Kit - Are you Leslie fan? Where are you from? Fan - Yes, and I am from Singapore. Yi Kit - All of you over that table from Singapore? Fan - Yes, we come every year for 401 and 912. Yi Kit - I thank you all on Leslie"s behalf. The next song I am going to dedicate to Leslie. He then sang "The Wind Continue to Blow" with lots of feelings. Before we left (about 3.00am), I went to invite Choi Yi Kit to take a group picture with us. He immediately said sure. He came over and sat with us. After that, he stayed with us for about 25 minutes telling us about Leslie. He said that during 1986, Leslie was already a Superstar. There was once when the grasshopper had to follow Anita Mui to Australia to perform as a special guest for Leslie concert. The record company had arranged a Limo to pick Leslie and Anita up. He said that Leslie refused to take the Limo and insisted to take the mini bus with them. He said that (grasshoppers) were only small flies during that time and Leslie was so nice to them, and he was very touched. Leslie even ate lunch box with them instead of going to the restaurant. He mentioned 6 times that Leslie has told them many time to love others and not to hate. Never hate, always love and love... Leslie also told them to give their best to your audience in every performance. So now, when they stage a concert, he always has Leslie spirit with him. He also mentioned that Leslie chose Daffy, so what..why were the press so concerned… why were people so concerned about this. This was his (Leslie’s) life, as long as he was happy. We asked him whether the Hongkonger liked Leslie? and why the press always wrote negative reports about him.　He said, ‘Generally the Hongkongers loves him, it is only the press. They want to sell more papers and the Hongkonger likes to read news about Leslie.’ He also mentioned that Leslie as very caring and thoughtful to others. He added that each time when he performs, he always thinks of what Leslie had taught him, always giving the best to the audience. He mention so many times his negative impression about the press in Hongkong. They just want to sell their news because they know Hongkongers like to read news about Leslie. We could see that Yi Kit is so angry with the reporters… He said that he hoped to have fans like us, so faithful to Leslie. I told him we might attend your concert one day. He said thank you. So after this meeting with him, I am going to love Leslie more and more and hate no one. To summarise, I could see that Yi Kit respected Leslie alot. He said that he was very very sad when Leslie left this world.
